As a native of Colorado Springs, I’ve always had a deep connection to our Front Range community and the extraordinary heroes who make it thrive.
During my 12 years as a school counselor, including time at Fountain-Fort Carson High School, I worked closely with military families and witnessed firsthand the immense sacrifices our soldiers, spouses, and children make to serve our country. My husband is a medically retired firefighter, and I’ve seen the dedication and courage of first responders through our many friends in the field. Both my grandfather, father, and uncle proudly served in the military, and my family has experienced the life-changing care provided by healthcare professionals. These heroes hold a special place in my heart.
Front Range Heroes allows me to give back to veterans, active-duty military, healthcare professionals, educators, and first responders. It’s my way of saying thank you and ensuring our heroes feel supported in their journey to homeownership.
I have always loved and lived by the wise words of Mr. Rogers:
“When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, ‘Look for the helpers. You will always find people that are helping.’”
